THE JMC FOUNDATION

For more than 25 years now, the Jeunesses Musicales of Canada Foundation (JMCF) has been dedicated to supporting classical music and new talent. The Foundation’s members and team are joining their efforts to support Jeunesses Musicales of Canada (JMC), a non-profit organization dedicated to the presentation of classical music—especially to youth—and to the career development of young artists both nationally and internationally.

Jeunesses Musicales of Canada


Founded in 1949 by the late Gilles Lefebvre, Jeunesses Musicales of Canada (JMC), a non-profit organization, promotes the development of Canadian artistic life by introducing audiences of all ages to music, in particular young audiences between the ages of 3 to 12. JMC also helps young professional instrumentalists, singers and composers to develop their careers at the national and international levels.

 

 

 

This $2,500 award of excellence will be awarded to a student of the violin, viola, cello, or bass enrolled as a full-time student in one of Montreal’s four universities (Concordia University, McGill University, Université de Montréal or Université du Québec à Montréal), or at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal.
